Seoul Trip In Nov 09
Things turn quite chilly in November. Perhaps you%26#39;d like to go to Jeju island after visiting Seoul, either by plane or by ferry from Mokpo in the south west corner.
In your time frame, I%26#39;d suggest going to 2-3 places after Seoul.
Seoul (shopping)
Haeina (famous temple, can stay in village)
Gyeongju (more temples and history)
or for the more intrepid/off the beaten track route
Seoul-Jeonju (old Korean style buildings), day trip to Maisan (interesting mountains and a cool temple called Tapsa) then to Mokpo, day trip to Wolchulsan or day trip to Haenam temple, ferry to Jeju island and fly back to Seoul.
Seoul Trip In Nov 09
thanks for the suggestions! will check out those places u mentioned. btw is Gyeongbokgung Palace worth visiting?
for sure it is.
IMHO Seoul doesn%26#39;t have many tourist attractions worth seeing compared with other large Asian cities. I find it a pity most people don%26#39;t see much of Korea, a country full of little gems, and spend most of their time in a large modern city of questionable beauty and interest.
i see. should i visit busan? How long is the journey by air from seoul to jeju pls? thanks
I think it%26#39;s about an hour from Seoul-Jeju, not much happening in Busan compared with Seoul, too cold for the beach.
If you like shopping, maybe it%26#39;s best to spend most of your time in Seoul, I%26#39;m not a shopper but I know some nice places in this country, but as mentioned, November is getting very cool.
ok thanks.
do you have any recommendation for hotel in seoul? about 3-4 star hotel with budget of US$100?
I plan to go to these places in seoul. tell me your honest opinion k.
Gyeongbokgung Palace
Myeongdong
Jogye-sa temple
Namdaemun Sijang
Insadong
My only issue now is when to go where because i dont know the distance between these places. Do you think i can easily spend half a day at each of these places?
oh i forgot to add that i wanna go sking as well.
how many days do you think my entire trip should take me? i think perhaps 6days
I%26#39;m no expert on Seoul so I guess your plan looks OK
Most ski fields are in Gangwon-do which is another province I%26#39;ve only briefly been to. I know a lot of places to travel in the south, but not in the north sorry.
Actually if you search around this forum, you will find there are some ski area not too far out of Seoul city, some places runs shuttle bus from Seoul, so you can make day trip.
