seoul stopover - 1 night only

Arriving early evening from Sydney(7pm I think) on asiana stopover package and departing for UK at 1pm next day.

Interested in some sightseeing but only have a small amount of time and most of it would be a night time Any suggestions as to what sights to see?

depends where you stay.

If Royal in Seoul, then Myeongdong is possible. If in airport town, then you will be unlikely to see much, as you%26#39;re 50 miles from Seoul.

arrive in Seoul on 12 May 09 usually like walking around cities just soaking up atmosphere

so, if you get put in town, do just that. Royal Seoul hotel is near Myeongdong (well, in it really) so you could wander there. Or cross Cheongyechong stream and walk up to Insadong.

The hotel will have maps.

If you get put in Airport town, I think you%26#39;d be silly to do much. As your head will be in Korea time (nearly) you could take airport train to Gimpo airport then on the ordinary train to central Seoul. It%26#39;ll take an hour though, each way. Everywhere round Myeongdong is open and neon-lit till late.
