8 hrs in Seoul

Hello!

I have stop over in Seoul in June 13th (Saturday) for about 12 hrs, from 4am to 4pm. So I%26#39;m calculating about 8hrs in Seoul to wander around.

any suggestions?

I%26#39;m hoping to visit these places in such a short time, is it possible? I%26#39;m not too familiar with distances and time between each other.

Gyeongbokgung Palace

Changdeokgung Palace

Seoul Tower (Mt. Namsan)

Thank you!!!!

I would suggest only going to one of the palaces. But there is this really great thing called the Seoul City Bus Tour. It is around $8ish to get on the bus, and it takes you all over Seoul. You can get on and off at each stop, and stay as long as you want!!! THere is also english speaking headsets so as it drives through the city it tells where everything is. You can get on the bus at any of the stops, so I would suggest taking a cab or train to one of the Palaces and getting on there--- It is great because it takes you to all of the markets, palaces, to Namsan, and tons of other things. 8 hours will be plenty of time to get it all done, as well! I hope this helps!!!

Agree with seouloving:

And Changdeok Palace is normally only for guided tours. I think English is at 11 am , but check on their website.

To my mind it is the better palace to visit, partly because of the tour.

Bear in mind you need to leave a good 90 mins before your check-in time, on the way back, esp if going by limo bus. Taxi is prety dear, and IMHO no quicker- and often less comfortable.

You could take the cable car up to Namsan, but don%26#39;t go unless it%26#39;s a clear day. O/wise take subway to Chungmuro and find Folk Village (foot of Namsan, but not by cable car) and wander round there.
