Gyeongju by bicycle

Another Gyeongju question.

I plan taking my bike on the train from Busan and doing a daytrip, or maybe staying over night. As I live in Busan, getting to Gyeongju is no issue, but I%26#39;m overwhelmed how to plan my attack of Gyeongju.

I%26#39;m quite a strong rider, so distances and climbing are no problem, but how to plan a tour of such a spread out place?

I%26#39;ve been to Bulguksa, and Anapji, so I don%26#39;t need to go again to those places.

My question. What would make a good tour by bike, incorporating the most interesting places, and using the train station as a point of origin?

As mentioned, I don%26#39;t have to see everything in one go.

Cheers for any help.

Gyeongju by bicycle

much of Gyeongju is in the central location south of the train station. From Anapji follow signs to ';tourist area';. You can do all of Cheomsongdae, Seokbingo, cheonmachong, the forest etc all on foot from there.

then there%26#39;s Namsan area: go to Poseokjongil on your bike, then after viewing that, cycle into the nmasan mountain biking region.

North of Gyeongju is another tourist area, with a Folk village, Buddhist school. confucian school. You%26#39;ll get a good map from Gyeongju station tourist office- this is really another day trip on a bike.

Finally, from Bulkguk temple, you can ride on to Seokkuram, and then on the road again continue to the other side of the mountain- towards Gampo. There (not gampo, but on the east side of the mountain) there are less touristy temples, pagodas, Kimg Mummu%26#39;s sea tomb (all sorts of things). Ride back to Gyeongju on the main road (don%26#39;t go through the tunnel, but walk up the alternative route and ride down the other side)

hope that helps.
