long layover at Incheon!

Hi all,

I have a long layover at Incheon on my flight back to the US. I arrive in Seoul at 8:40AM, and my flight departs at 6pm (meaning I would probably have to be back at the airport around 4pm?). Does anyone know if this is an appropriate time frame to go into the city? Are there tour guides? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, I suppose you would have about 3-4 hours in Seoul, because the traveling time between Incheon airport to Seoul is about 90 min each way. If you want quick visit, I recommend take KAL limousine bus that heads to City hall area. There small but very traditional Deoksugung Palace (…visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_1_1_1.jsp…) across from city hall. You can also check out traditional open market, Namdaemoon market and nearby shopping district of Myeong-dong area which are only 1 subway stop or quick taxi ride or 15 min walk from city hall area. If you still have time, try to visit Insa-dong which is like Soho which has many galleries, souvenir shops and many wonderful cafes and restaurants.

There is transit tours available from airport which i never did, but sounds pretty convenient. (…visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_5_1.jsp)
