Hi, I am planning to travel alone to Korea on 30 Mar. This will be my first time there n I dont speak Korean language nor can I read hangal.
My plane is arriving at 18.50 and I will not be able to catch the plane to Daegu which leaves at 19.20. My available option is
1. KTX - I need to go to Seoul by bus n it takes 60 mins. From there, KTX to Daegu will take about 2 hr 30min, or
2. Express bus from Incheon direct to Daegu which 4 hrs 30 min.
Any suggestion which is the best option? I am not sure what is the total time taken to reach Daegu by KTX, inclusive of time taken to look for the station, info counter etc.
Btw, if express bus safe to ride in Korea? TIA
Incheon to Daegu - by KTX or Express bus
is there a KTX that late? Don%26#39;t think its possible at that time either way, but you must have looked at timetables, I guess.
Bus is fine.
To get to Seoul station you need spend 90 mins on a limo bus or in a taxi from Incheon, after immigration time- so I guess you%26#39;d not be in Seoul until 22:00.
Only then could you get the train, and I%26#39;m fairly sure that doesn%26#39;t work.
KTX mainly goes to Dongdaegu (East Taegu), which is not the same as Daegu, really-a few miles further on.
Unless there%26#39;s a bus at about 8:30pm from ICN, I think you need an overnight in/near Seoul or Incheon.
Incheon to Daegu - by KTX or Express bus
You can take both KTX and Express bus to Dongdaegu at same day.
1. KTX
The last one leaves at 22:00 from Seoul station and arrives at Dongdaegu station at 23:46.
Even you can buy KTX ticket at the arrival hall(near way out door 7).
You might have 2 options. Taking KTX at Seoul or Gwangmyeong. You check at the KTX booth.

2. Express bus
The last one leaves at 21:10 from airport and arrives at Dongdaegu at 01:40. You can take the bus at the bus stop 10C. Korean express buses are safe and clean.

Thanks for the replies. The bus or ktx will stop at Dongdaegu, from there to Daegu is another 60 minutes by taxi.
