8 hrs layover in Seoul

I have 8 hrs flight layover in Seoul (arriving 8AM departing 4PM). Any suggestions how to spend time? Do I have time to go to the city?

It is not enough time to go to Seoul and come back I think.

Your flight arrive ICN 8:00. Then it takes at least 1 hour to clear CIQ. Then you leaving the airport 9:00. Arriving Seoul downtown 10:00 ~ 10:30. You got to leave there around 13:00. Then you gonna have 3 hours in downtown. Not advisable.

I think it is long time doing nothing for 8 hours.

1. There is a beach(not so beautiful though) which is called Eulwangli. It is located in same island which airport is. By bus it takes 30 minutes one way.

2. There is a small airport town. You might hang around at the town but there are only lots of apartments. If you want to visit a Korean super market, visit Lotte Mart at the town. By bus it takes 10 minutes. Also you can take a train to there. Get off at Unseo station.

You can get detailed information about 1,2 at information desk at arrival hall.

3. Join transit tour.

I think I%26#39;d plan on doing it, and change the plan if things run late.

Grab a Limo bus to Lotte hotel, spend an hour in Myeongdong. Grab a coffee and a pastry, walk along Cheongyecheon, then up Insadong.

A limited trip but you%26#39;ll get a flavour of the city.

Are you already checked in, is the big question.

If so, you could leave town at 1:30. If so, leave at 12:30

You don%26#39;t have to recheck your bag your bag will be through checked in to your final destination.

In case of you flying same airline,such as KE or OZ in two legs, you will be issued two boarding passes. So in that case, you don%26#39;t have worry about anything in ICN, you just get to the departure gate 30min prior to departure.

In Vietnam, you make sure that you have 2nd leg boarding pass and your bags are checked in up to your final destination.
