Hi
My friends and I (3 of us) will be heading to Seoul middle of April. I know my way around Seoul some since i%26#39;ve been there before. However, my 2 friends have some requests that they%26#39;ll like to see. Can you folks give any advice as to any day tours for the following:
- Mountain trekking/sightsee
- Strawberry Farm?
- Cherry Blossoms
- Shopping (this is already taken care of)
Any help will be great, thanks much!
Seoul for 5 nights
You will have to get out Seoul to do first two items. Wait, you can hike Mt. Bukhansan National Park! You can see the linked article about places to go in Seoul, in April, 鈥isitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_6.jsp鈥?/a>
Here is general info about Bukhansan, sh.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_1_1_1.jsp鈥?/a>
As per cherry blossoms, go to Yeoido island in middle of Han river to enjoy full blooms.
Seoul for 5 nights
Any idea on the strawberry farms and where we can go to visit one?
If we get out of seoul to see these, does it mean that we can%26#39;t do them on a day trip?
Thanks for all replies
1. Mountain
I recommed you Bukhansan too. It is located at north part of Seoul. Easy to go and back.

Also you can try Cheonggyesan(Socho-gu), Gwanaksan(near Seoul Univ.)
2. Strawberry Farm
There is strawberry festival in Nonsan 10Apr ~ 12Apr.
It takes 2 hours from Seoul by express bus. You can take train, too. There are some daily tours to the farms around that season.

3. Cherry Blossom
Here is all the places that you can feel cherry blossom in Seoul.(This article is written in 2006 though)

Unfortunately we will only be there on the 19 onwards so we will totally miss the strawberry festival.
Is there any other strawberry farms that we can go to?
Where can we go to sign up for day tours such as those that will bring us to places like food farms etc.
Sorry for the many qns!! Many of the websites are in korean and I have yet to find any tours where we can book for the farms and mountain sightsees.
Thanks
There are plenty of mountains in or in the vicinity of Seoul that wouldn%26#39;t take more than an hour to reach from the city centre.
Bukhansan National Park, which has been mentioned, is really nice and quite a large area with many trails and peaks. Dobongsan for example is a good all day hike.
I%26#39;ve been told it%26#39;s also possible to start from Inwangsan, a shamanist mountain with a pretty view of central Seoul, and continue walking to Bukhansan once you reach the top.
Across the Han river there%26#39;s Gwanaksan by Seoul National University. It%26#39;s not to hard to climb and has a great view of the southern parts of Seoul.
And then there%26#39;s always Namsan, where Seoul Tower is^^. Instead of taking the cable car you can walk, a very easy climb.
Hope that helps :)
I found a few strawberry farms in Gyeonggi-do.
I recommend you this place.
Name of farm : Daega Nongwon
http://www.daega620.co.kr/
(in Korean)
Address : 26-3, Neungnae-ri, Joan-myeon, Namyangju-shi, Gyeonggi-do
Tel : 010-2225-6641(in Korea)
Farm experience program (25,000won p/p)
You pick 500g strawberries.(you bring them with you)
You make strawberry jam. (you bring 300g jam with you)
Lunch(not sure what they serve)
How to get there,
Bus : 2000-1, 2000-2 at Gangbyeon subway stn(line 2)
8 at Cheongryangri train stn
Get off at Neungnae station(the station is out of operation due to Jungang line route change)
Train : From Cheongryangri to Paldang or Ungilsan
then transfer to bus to Neungnae station
I recommend you to take a bus, but you can try each if you are willing to.)
One more important thing is you have to make reservation before you go. So if you want to participate the program, as soon as you arrive in Korea you make reservation. Staff at your hotel can help you out!
I hope you have a fun at the farm.
