Hello,
I see the reviews here for this hotel are stellar. But I noticed their standard rooms are very small, around 23 square meters? Is it worth getting a Junior Suite, which I understand is like a larger studio?
I usually stay at serviced apartments, which actually start at 40 square meters.
Any opinions from previous guests would be appreciated!
Hotel Ibis Myeongdong
Hi Elias,
We stayed in a Junior Suite in Nov last year Though I only wrote the review up this January. We stayed in room 1526 which is identical to the photos submitted by ';Boston'; of suite 1626.
I didn%26#39;t post any photos as the ones of the room submitted by ';Boston'; were good.
You may find the toilet and shower a bit smaller however the size is OK and easy to use. The shower is triangular in shape but easy to use. I%26#39;m a big lad but fitted in there quite well.
The Ibis has a gym, spa pool, coin laundry. The hotel buffet breakfast costs 15,000 Won and has excellent choice and quality.
I definately recommend the Junior Suite.
Cheers.
Hotel Ibis Myeongdong
We stayed at the Ibis in Sept and yes the standard room is small but good enough for a couple. The bathroom is big enough to fit one person only with the shower room glueing to your back!! However, the location is great, the staff are pleasant and the rooms are comfortable. If you are travelling on your own, the standard room is good enough otherwise Junior suite is the other choice.
Thank you both.
I looked at the photos, the bathrooms look the same in both the standard room and junior suite, very cramped.
Still not sure if it%26#39;s worth getting the junior suite, it%26#39;s 60000 krw extra/day, what do you guys think?
Thanks!
Hi Elias,
We thought the extra cost was good value, that%26#39;s why we chose the Junoir Suite. It was worth it.
Cheers.
